Asset-Backed Investments

Asset-backed investments are backed by a company's underlying assets. Both the interest and capital element of the investment are variable and neither are normally guaranteed. Therefore, these types of investments are deemed to be higher risk, as there is the potential to gain a high rate of return.

It should be borne in mind that past performance is not necessarily a guide to future performance and that investment values can fluctuate. This may lead to an investor not receiving back as much as was initially invested as some investments cannot guarantee a return of capital.

The investments held here are under the guise of; Shares, Property, Employee share schemes, Endowments, PEPs, ISAs, Unit trusts, Investment Trusts, Investment Bonds and Venture Capital Trusts.
